VVIT Professor participated in the India Consensus Conference held at Guntur
New age women are NOT expecting the sympathy from, instead are powered enough to show empathy towards, the society-says experts at VVIT



Sri Puttu Guru Prasad, Assistant Professor & Lawyer, Senior Faculty for Management Sciences, Sciences & Humanities Department, Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology, Nambur, attended a round table conference conducted by the India Consensus (A partnership between Tata Trusts and Copenhagen Consensus Centre), as a sector expert consultation on “Gender” on 15th November at District Training Centre, Collector Office, Guntur as informed by Sri Vasireddy Vidya Sagar, Chairman of VVIT.
The India Consensus is under the Andhra Pradesh Priorities Project, a partnership initiative of the Tata Trusts and the Copenhagen Consensus Centre. The project will conduct cost-benefit research and prioritisation across a comprehensive development agenda for Andhra Pradesh. The aim of the Project is to provide the State Government and the development community with a systematic process to help prioritise the most effective development solutions. This will be achieved through academic research, stakeholder engagement and a targeted outreach strategy. Ultimately, the people in Andhra Pradesh will directly benefit from the increased coordination and shared consensus of identifying the smartest development solutions. 
The project aims at meeting with stakeholders from the state government, including departments covering energy, environment. Health, rural development, education, nutrition, women and child development, etc., as well as with civil society, think tanks, and academics. In this regard, they are conducting roundtable conferences on different sectors across Andhra with key stakeholders from government, civil society and academics. Sri Guruprasad, of VVIT, was invited by India Consensus team for sharing his expertise on finding the most effective solutions to address Gender issues in Andhra Pradesh. He participated in that round table conference and intertwined his expertise with the other sector expert participants.
Sri Guruprasad also delivered several sessions earlier on “Gender Sensitization”, “Women & Law” for APHRDI, by the call from its Director General, at Bapatla, Guntur and several places. Sri Guruprasad in this regard stated that Women are welcomed to tune their ecology to the industry. He said that it becomes culturally acceptable for men to subjugate their career prospects to allow women to succeed. He says Gender parity is good for the society in his every lecture and highlights all the rights that women have in our legislature and in the revised Indian Penal Code.

On this achievement Sri Guruprasad is congratulated by the , Chairman Sri Vidya Sagar, Secretary Sri Badari Prasad, Academic Secretary Sri M.SreeKrishna, Principal Dr.Y.Mallikarjuna Reddy, Dr.N.Kumara Swamy, Dr.M.V.Raghuram, HOD, Basic Science and Faculty members especially Women for his rear feat.
